Imagine if you were able to take advantage of focused learning provided by experts to deliver not only an in-depth understanding of how to identify and manage conflicts of interests, but also practical tools, techniques, and resources you can apply in your work.
Imagine also that your learning is complemented by pre and post course support to help you approach and embed your learning at your own pace; and that you have the opportunity to learn and network with peers to share advice, ideas, and good practice.
Identifying and managing conflicts of interests is a key part of good governance for any organisation. Without appropriate systems in place for the declaration and evaluation of interests, organisations could be open to challenge when making decisions about investments and service delivery.
You will learn:
the role of declaring interests and the importance of managing potential conflicts;
how to develop and implement process to identify potential conflicts and make decisions about how they should be managed;
about non-financial interests and why you these need to be declared too;
how to manage offers of gifts, sponsorship and hospitality;
the best way to maintain and publish registers of interests.
Learning will take place through presentation, Q&A sessions, group work, and exploring case studies. Like all our courses you will have access to course and assessment materials on the WuDo Moodle, as well as opportunities to ask follow up questions and access to useful materials and templates.
